Faith-based movie to film locally
RIDGELAND, Miss. —Local residents looking to appearing on the silver screen will have their chance this week.
“Rumors of Wars” will be filmed locally, producers said. The faith-based film focuses on two story lines. The first story was filmed in Grand Rapids, Mich. The second portion of the film, which will be shot in Mississippi, centers around a character named Shaw.
The casting call is Wednesday from 2-8 p.m. and Thursday from noon to 4 p.m. at 120 Dyess Road in Ridgeland.
Filmmakers are looking for men 16-18 years old, preferably thin, to play Drew, an underground Christian. They are also seeking to cast the roll of the Bearded Man and prefer actors who have a scruffy beard.
